Rapper P. Diddy plans to quit music for acting

Diddy is going to have a hard time finding anyone who will believe him when he says he’s retiring from music for acting. He has said, “I’m going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films.” That’s what he told Cigar Aficionado Magazine in a new cover story.

Before you rush out to go buy the last copy of ‘MMM’ (Money Making Mitch), he’s actually planning to drop his seventh studio album ‘No Way Out 2’ as his retirement album. "I want to stop at a great place," he said. "And a final album is a great place to stop. I want to take a victory lap, to do a world tour and really enjoy it once last time.” Now where have we heard this one before? Eminem? Jay Z, Dr Dre maybe?

Also, the irony in the album’s title is pretty much a self-fulfilling prophecy that he’ll be back but let’s take his word for it.

GUESS WHO KENDRICK LAMAR IS INDUCTING AT THE ROCK AND ROLL CEREMONY THIS YEAR??

Earlier this month, it was rumored that Kendrick Lamar would be among those selected to induct this year's class of nominees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The Rock Hall has now confirmed that Kendrick will indeed be a part of the ceremony and that he will be the one to induct the only hip-hop act on the bill, N.W.A.

It's fitting that Kendrick should present his hometown heroes with the honor. He's well familiar with each of the living group members, as he interviewed them for Billboard magazine last summer, and he has collaborated frequently with Dr. Dre. Last October, he wrote an essay about Eazy-E that was published in PAPER magazine. 

In addition to officially receiving entry into the Hall of Fame, N.W.A. is also set to perform during the induction ceremony, which goes down on April 8 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Perhaps Kendrick will join them for some live music, too.

It could be a scene from any film set but Kunle Afolayan hopes "The CEO" could drive change in Nigeria's hugely popular and prolific movie industry, Nollywood.
"'CEO' represents Africa as a continent," said the 41-year-old during a break from filming at a luxury resort outside the financial capital, Lagos.
"By virtue of the kind of story, the actors, the team and every element of the film to a large extent, embraces who we are as Africans,"
The film's plot is about a telecoms firm looking to replace its boss. Five members of the company's management are dispatched across Africa to find the best candidate.
Cast members include Benin's Grammy award-winning singer Angelique Kidjo, as well as actors from South Africa, Kenya, Ivory Coast and Morocco.
"It's a fairly great mix and I think it's a mix that's like Kunle himself," said Moroccan television and film actress Fatym Layachi.
"(He's) a totally Nigerian director in the sense he's proud of being Nigerian and proud of his culture... and at the same time he's part of something completely universal."

According to TMZ, Lamar Odom And Khloe Kardashian have decided not to get divorced and LO has just signed papers from his hospital bed that will have their case dismissed.
The couple had signed papers requesting a divorce years ago, but the file had yet to be signed and processed by a judge.
Now, that file will be thrown out altogether.
Lamar is currently in a Los Angeles area hospital receiving specialized treatment as he prepares for months and months of rehabilitation. Khloe has already stated that she'll be by his side throughout the entire process.

The employees of Def Jam should be popping champagne right now, because Def Jam is the most successful hip hop label of all time, according to a recent study conducted by Matt Daniels of Polygraph.
Daniels methodology basically factored in each label's tracks' chart rank (on the Billboard "Hot Rap Songs" chart) weeks charted. His study goes back to 1989 and includes over 600 labels. “By highlighting the labels who produced the most hits at any given time, we’d understand who was wielding enormous influence on hip hop’s sound, distribution, and direction,” said Daniels.
