Lionel Messi 'headbutts' Roma player in Barcelona win

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is lucky not to be sent off following a clash with Roma defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa during a pre-season friendly.
Instead the Argentina international received a yellow card as the Spanish champions won the match 3-0 thanks to goals from himself Neymar and Ivan Rakitic.
Barcelona will begin the defence of their title against Athletic Bilbao on 23 August.

During the Joan Gamper Trophy match between FC Barcelona and Roma, tempers reached a fever pitch when Lionel Messi, of all people, just snapped on Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. While we have no clue what was said for the typically mild-mannered Messi to just fly off the handle, it had to be something serious. After all, Leo headbutted Yanga-Mbiwa and then grabbed his throat! Both guys received yellow cards for their altercation and as expected, Messi turned that anger into a goal six minutes later.
So much for this being a friendly contest.
